I miss buttonbutton :(
This morning I had an urge to go to buttonbutton, but alas, high rents meant that they had to leave their store and find a new location (still to be found and announced). Buttonbutton had everything from vintage glass and horn buttons to brand new handmade clay ones to old uniform buttons to sparkly baubles. One of the biggest things I miss (in addition to spending a peaceful post-lunch hour considering all of the glass buttons in their little drawers) was seeing what the owner was wearing. She always had on something embellished with amazing buttons. To satiate my button needs, I emptied one of my little containers and set aside some favourites to cheer and inspire me.

Yeah, isn’t it sad when the cool interesting places are forced out with high rents? I’m missing Ruby Dog’s a lot.
