Bender Bending Rodriguez!
Over at Ravelry, someone posted a Simpsons Movie “spoiler” (I use it loosely because it is not revealing at all, but some people behave ridiculously about story hints, like in this ROFLicious Onion article: Final Harry Potter Book Blasted For Containing Spoilers) which said that Marge Simpson knits. That is really no surprise to me, because Matt Groening’s cartoons frequently contain knitters. In Futurama, both Zoidberg and Bender knit. (Bender makes a 3D bottle cozy on regular needles, which would be an impressive feat!) Tricia recently made an adorable crocheted house-bot, which reminded me of other fibery robot toys. Long ago, I saw a crocheted Bender somewhere on the wide internets, and it wouldn’t be too hard to create one for myself…maybe Tinny Tim or Calculon could keep him company, too?
